This surety bond is required by the City of Milwaukee under the provisions of Section 95-14. This bond is to ensure that once the principal is granted a home improvement contractor’s certificate, he/she shall perform and sufficiently complete all work engaged in as a result of being granted a contractor’s certificate in order to protect fully the health, safety, and welfare of the public. The required bond amount is $1,000. In most cases, the premium on this bond is as little as $100.
