Who needs to file an Alabama Auctioneer Bond?
The Alabama Auctioneer Bond is required by the State of Alabama Board of Auctioneers for all who wish to be licensed as an auctioneer in the state. The $10,000 bond is used to help protect against any misconduct by an auctioneer, including misrepresentation of items being auctioned and substitution of goods. The bond guarantees the recovery of fines and fees levied by state regulators for the auctioneer’s non-compliance with the provisions of the Code of Alabama Chapter 34-4. Typically, the premium on this bond is as low as 1% with the submission of a completed application.

- Completed application form – Make sure that all parts have been filled.
- Letter of Recommendation from sponsor
- Payment of $200 for the license fee
- Request for Conviction/Criminal History Record
- Proof of Apprenticeship
- Proof of Citizenship
