The California Professional Club and Promoter’s Bond is required by the State Athletic Commission. It is essential for all those who want to get a Promoter’s license. The bond serves as a guarantee to the state that the promoter will pay all the taxes and fines due. It also guarantees payment of contributions for medical insurance and to the pension as well as disability fund. Additionally payment of assessments for neurological examinations, as specified in the Business And Professions Code Section 1871(c)
Professional promoters in California, will be required to secure a bond based on the decisions by the State Athletic Commission. All professional promoters are required to have a bond in the amount of $50,000 and amateurs $1000.
