A game promotion is defines as a contest, game of chance, sweepstakes or gift enterprise conducted by an operator within or throughout the state and other states in connection with the sale of consumer products and where there are chances of getting a prize. For games higher than $5,000, the operator must file seven days before the start of promotion. They must submit a completed application and payment of $100 for the filing fee. They must also show proof of financial security through either a trust account or a surety bond.
