Texas Child and Adult Food Care Program Bond

This surety bond is required by the Texas Child and Adult Food Care Program under the Texas Annotated Code Title 4, Part 1, Chapter 25. The bond states that the bondholder will:
(a)faithfully satisfy all net audit exceptions which may have been taken by the Texas Department of Agriculture for any audit period covered by the period duration of the bond,
(b) during said audit, if records were unavailable or unauditable, the bondholder shall faithfully satisfy all exceptions determined to be owed as a result of bondholder’s failure to keep records substantiating its performance
(c) during any research by the TX Department of Agriculture of investigations, administrative reviews, or management evaluations into the contractual performance of the bondholder, the bondholder shall satisfy all monetary exceptions for the contract period covered by the period of duration of the bond
The bond amount is calculated by number of children/adults multiplied by the current reimbursement cost for each meal type times 90 days. Generally, the premium on this bond is as low as 2%.
