Virginia Professional Solicitor’s Bond

The Virginia Professional Solicitor’s Bond is required by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services under the provisions of the Code of Virginia Section 57-48. The bond states that the bondholder shall reimburse the Commonwealth of Virginia and the citizens for any penalties or losses resulting from nonfeasance, misfeasance, or misfeasance in the conduct of charitable solicitation activities by the bond holder. The required bond amount is $20,000. Typically, the premium on this bond is as little as $300.
