West Virginia Licensed Auctioneer Surety Bond

This surety bond is required by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture under the provisions of Chapter 19, Article 2C of the Code of West Virginia. Such bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful compliance by the auctioneer to pay all required taxes, fees, and penalties imposed by this state and its political subdivisions, as well as the payment by any auctioneer of any final judgment obtained for damages arising out of his conduct or duties as an auctioneer. The required bond amount is $10,000. Typically, the premium on this bond is as little as $100.
