The Maryland State Board of Well Drillers requires this surety bond in the amount of $5,000 in compliance with Title 13 of the Environmental Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The bond ensures that the bond holder will abide by all terms of their license and with all rules, regulations and contracts relating to the construction, alteration, repair, or abandonment of water wells, including the installation, alteration, repair, or removal of water pumps, water tanks and/or water conditioning equipment. Typically, the premium on this bond is as little as $100.
