This surety bond is required by the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission under Section 40-59-220 of the South Carolina Code of Laws. The bond states that the bond holder, or Principal, should in all respects comply with the rules and regulations pertaining to the International Residential Code and Health and Safety requirements. Required bond amount varies:
(a) Licensed Residential Specialty Contractor (HV AC, plumber, or electrician): $10,000
(b) Registered Residential Specialty Contractor: $5,000
